@arstechnica Why don't they use a piece of metal cut (keyed) to a specific shape? I hear those work.

@arstechnica As can any other make of car that uses keyless technology.

The big difference is that those other makes don't have a PIN-to-drive option.

Let's not pretend that Tesla has a corner on technology issues.
