CompilerFax: Sending C source code via telefax to a compiler-as-a-service which then faxes you the output of your program; demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ-25-pRhpY git: https://github.com/lexbailey/compilerfax intended for #emfcamp #retronetworking #whatagreathack

@LaF0rge well, obviously that's not how software development is supposed to work these days... better have a faxnumber for a gitlab instance, to which you can send diffs which get turned into branches + merge-requests (which, inturn, you can comment on, and sign-off, and approve by fax).

Let's call it "gitlab, the German edition".

@LaF0rge Does it work with hand-written C code?

@LaF0rge I'm not going to try it on a public instance, but I'm definitely wondering how it'd handle a fork-bomb or a connect-back shell...!

@LaF0rge Maybe a set of fax'ed punch cards as the input would be even more .... :D

I guess we definitely want such a CompilerFax installation permanently deployed in our OCTOI network :) https://osmocom.org/projects/octoi/wiki
