I didn't expect to find this today: my first ever Morel/Morchel (Morchella angusticeps).
Now I have to look for a recipe fit for the occasion.

@canyakker nice! There's another mushroom called a false morel that I've foraged and eaten many, many times (though technically poisonous of cooked improperly) and is very tasty.

@ottaross We have lots of those here, but I prefer to stay clear of those.

@canyakker pretty great to find real ones. Don't think I've ever found one.

The false ones cool up nicely, but apparently they need to be well cooked and you need an exhaust fan to ensure you don't breath the odours the produce during early cooking. Still, our family had them every year as kids in the north.
