The topic came up, and only one person out of eight (including your next PyCon US Chair) didn't get one. I didn't have it either. We also looked on the schedule and didn't see it?
@hugovk@webology@ThePSF Thanks. Unfortunately that mailing list is private, and I have missed the announcement on Discourse because I wasn't expecting events happening at the conference will be announced there.
I believe it will be helpful if the PSF Member Lunch event is also included in the usual announcement for the conference , since it's also an event at the conference?
@ThePSF Someone on the call passed the secret code.
This is a really confusing and frustrating process, even when you know it's going on. It sounds like a ton of people are getting left out for lack of knowing about it.
@webology The good news is that there are 31 seats still available for the Members Lunch. The steps to add it to your registration are a little fiddly, unfortunately, which we hope to improve for next time.
@ThePSF thank you. We got it worked out last night, but my concern is that so many people won't know about it because they aren't on the forum and don't know about the private mailing list to be a part of it.
I passed this along to the other people who asked. Someone said the code was maxed out after a few of us used it last night. I did not double-check, but I assume you are on that.
