I spent 45 minutes or so with a customer representative to book a train ticket to Switzerland. Booking it online was impossible. Now compare that to booking a flight.

@ewolff Nothing beats the SBB app: instead of saying where you want to go, you just swipe a slide when you enter the train and swipe it again when you leave. Fees are calculated automatically. Advance bookings are not necessary.

@grobmeier My problem is my BahnCard 100 which allows me to use any train in DE. For CH it doesn’t seem to give any rebate unlike the BahnCard 25 of my wife. 🤷‍♂️
Besides we had a similar solution in DE that was discontinued.

Well at least in the VRR region in NRW you can use the eezy ticket in the app. Calculates tariff by distance and often saves around 30% fare.
