#Helldivers2 Re: The 'new' requirement for PC players to link to a PSN account.

In my professional opinion (communications, PR, community management), they could have handled this much better. Yes, it was listed as a requirement in Steam since day 1, but they should have communicated the situation - It was disabled due to explosive popularity, but was going to be enforced sooner or later.

Probably should've been in social announcements and patch notes.

#Helldivers2 If you zoom out to the macro: Poor communication, especially on issues this important, ends up affecting the entire company.

Support queues explode, prevent reps from helping other issues. Ditto for community management. The CEO said in Discord he can't keep up with the flood of questions and responses right now.

Leadership gets pulled off projects for decision, policy updates, and comms if it's bad enough.

Communication and transparency folks. it's about much more than PR.
