I decided to launch a VM and install #GIMP so I could show everyone what I was talking about but the default doesn't look like what I had at all :(

I think I've lost the plot here! :)

I SWEAR I used to have useful Layer options written in text like Duplicate Layer, Anchor Layer etc in the top pane

@cymplecy I have GIMP 2.10.18 it has those on right click in the Layers section..

@Extelec Yes - the text in the top section but I used to have it visible all the time in top right-hand pane

@cymplecy Sorry, never played with the right hand pane :( Usually turned off for more space.

@deshipu OK -did that thanks. But now got two c0pies of the lower tab. I'm after the default which is (AFAIR from 30 minutes ago!) a list of text options like delete layer - anchor down etc etc
