On my second workday medicated. One of the best and surprising parts is confidence and trust in what I've already done.
Before, in essence I couldn't trust that my intent was what I actually managed to do.
I don't have to double check myself over and over. I just remember, and it's there. The live thoughts of tasks I performed still exist in my head and are accessible in moments.

May I ask what it is you're taking? I'm considering trying to get my ADHD treated, but from what I understand the medication I used to take, Ritalin, is basically ungettable now.
I guess I should probably ask my doctor, not you. I'm just wondering if there's more choices now than just Ritalin or Adderall.
The way you describe these beneficial changes to your mind, I'm jealous. I want to be able to do that too!
@Kavus I've been reading on & off before I was prescribed and yes - there seems to be more than that. I'm on dexamphetamine, which from what I understand is a good starter 'ok you have ADHD let's see what a low dose of this does' before tuning in the right dose, or moving to something else.
This is the first I've tried, perhaps I'm lucky - maybe I'd get a better result from something else, or a different dose, maybe it'll tank out in a couple weeks from tolerance. I'm terribly new at this!
I can separate mentally what I wanted to do, and what I actually had to do. This is a manual workplace, and like everywhere sometimes you have to change plans on the fly.
Another way to put it - most of us have had a co-worker we don't quite trust. maybe they're the owner's partner or relative and you just have to work around them, maybe they're not quite up to speed, or have bad days themselves. A co-worker that doesn't always do what you pass to them, and if they do they only get it 90% and it's hard work to keep on top of just which.
@NanoRaptor This is so familiar and I'm delighted you're getting the same benefits I did. Coming from further along in the journey, a quick question: if you're on the amphetamine type of stimulant, has your doc prescribed you a top-up dose? You may otherwise find that the dose lasts a workday but you want your brain to continue to function for the whole day.
@engagedpractx I'm on a small dose to just get used to the effects, record how it works, how long, and settle side effects down.
Currently it runs out about 3 hours in! I still feel a tail end until the evening but that's just a calm that I've already been OK with pulling up from myself when I need it.
Next week I move to two a day, one morning one midday - and after that a review for longer term release options.
Much dialing in to do!. Currently it's really peaky, and very short acting.
