Nonilex, 27 days ago #BabySquirrel latest: She’s been w/me 28hrs now. Momma still MIA. Played audio of a crying baby #squirrel to draw her (baby no longer in distress, ∴ not crying). Nada. I periodically check hydration w/a skin “pinch test” & rehydration feedings have worked. Obviously I’m handling to rehydrate & feed, but GENTLY — tiny & delicate easy to injure. Made 3 “Momma Socks” for swapping if cool/soiled (sock + uncooked rice + warm in microwave). “Cage” is Tupperware lined w/cloths + screen. read alt Rescued baby squirrel first drinks warm pedialyte then warm formula from an oral syringe with nipple, finally a very active bath & cuddle.
