I also use, but do not like, youtube premium: fewer ads but still lousy UX.

Wanted to pay for #kagi but then their CEO (I think) doubled down on some shitty remarks.

@ktemkin #vaultwarden is really solid (paired with a Bitwarden client). The android app is a bit rough but it should be better on newer phones.

@ktemkin my two are rsync.net and purelymail, they are "you want X. You know what X is. We sell X. That is all." for backup storage and email respectively. <3 companies that do one thing well and get out of the way, on the assumption that you know what you want better than they do.

Also shoutout to radicale (self-hosted caldav/carddav), for being that one thing I regularly outright forget I use for months at a time, because it just sits on a server quietly doing its thing with no maintenance.

@promovicz worth mentioning Forgejo as a fork of Gitea that's working on adding host federation, so you don't have to have an account on all the various project-specific git instances to e.g. issue PRs or write issues
