The nepotism runs deep with this one and never being called to task for it by Democrats or anyone else, it's time for a little entitlement reward.

"In Bid to Tighten Grip on GOP, Donald Trump Endorses Daughter-in-Law for RNC Co-Chair"

"Donald Trump endorsed his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, to help lead the Republican National Committee, a move that would tighten his hold on the party even as the 2024 nominating contest continues."

I don't think it's fair to accuse Democrats of never calling Trump to task for his nepotism. The Dems were fuming about Trump's crime family since before he was even elected. But it was hard to hear, because the press was singlemindedly focused on "but her emails." And "but her mysterious, secret brain-rotting space disease." They're doing it again now.

#Dems are singularly responsible for #virtueSignaling and #appeasement in making political appointments, while #Trump & #GOP are openly engaged in #nepotism.

Between these two extremes, it is the #Dem Leadership's fault for not choosing competent apolitical appointees.

It's important for everyone to recognize that what you're saying makes no sense whatsoever.

You're blaming the Democratic Party for failing to do things that it is not possible to do. You're angry at Democrats for what Republicans did.

That's what this whole thread is about. Trump appointed his own family members to White House positions, and some people here are angry... at Democrats.

This is insane.

@barney @rameshgupta @SteveThompson The Democrats don't exactly pounce on important, useful talking points to counter Trump. Sometimes it looks like Jamie Raskin is all alone reminding us of Trump's corruption. The Biden campaign needs to seriously step up activity. It's time to start running TV ads, for example.

@brendo

That is certainly a rational argument, IMO. One answer to "What else should the Democratic Party have done about Trump's nepotism?" might be "nothing, at the time. But, right now, the Dems' election prospects would be improved by running TV ads that draw attention to that nepotism."

It's really very important that we all stay sane and oriented to reality.
