As input for the #digitalpolicy agenda for the 2nd part of Europe’s Digital Decade, we share seven suggestions for policy interventions in support of the #DigitalCommons. These policies create an opportunity for an internet governed not as a marketplace but as a #DigitalPublicSpace 🏛https://paradox.openfuture.eu/policies/ 🧵1/8

"During the current mandate, the European Union (EU) has enacted laws — the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA) — that build a platform regulation regime and aim to curb the power of the gatekeepers. They are intended to create a safer digital space by regulating platforms and to bring greater fairness to digital markets by enabling competition."

Let's go for the next step in the upcoming mandate of the EU: invest in the public infrastructure we do want!
