@BBCRadio4 1982-4 I worked in a C of E High School where the pupils were told not to listen to Culture Club as it might corrupt them. They were also told not to read Arian Mole.

@BBCRadio4 Really weird school that was. In 1984 I moved to a normal comp where the drama department were rehearsing Adrian Mole for their next production!
