A friend asked me to write lyrics about a badger for a death metal song we’re doing together. A short Google later:

Eyes flash in the night
White stripes on pelt black as the grave
Claws that dig and eviscerate
A sett of hungry mouths await

In the dawn’s new light we hide
Awaiting the fade, crepuscular
Shallow pits to leave our shit
In lands urban, deciduous, coniferous
