selea,

Minus 13 Celsius tonight,

oligneisti,

That would be 113° on the original scale Celsius came up with. The boiling point of water was 0°. Linnaeus and others came with the idea if reversing it which feels like the greatest improvement imaginable. If course we might have gotten used to it like Americans who defend Fahrenheit (despite the fact it is just nonsense).

May I ask where in Sweden? My sister lives in Dalarna so I have visited quite a few times.

@oligneisti

Yeah I remember that!
Celsius just makes more sense compared to Fahrenheit which is just random crap.

I live outside Borås, between Jönköping and Gothenburg.
My wife is actually from Dalarna, from a town called Rättvik

oligneisti,

I've been to Rättvik and Göteborg (Icelandic: Gautaborg). But there are large swathes of the country between Göteborg and Stockholm which I have yet to explore and I haven't been farther north than Älvdal.

@selea

selea,

@oligneisti

I do prefer rättvik over Gothenburg, I always feel lovely in big big cities.
