@davidbisset A colleague was telling me earlier how someone they worked with, whenever their desktop became too cluttered, would create a folder on the desktop and drag all the old stuff in to it. Including the old old-desktop folder.
@benjohn yeah... i throw things onto my external which every year I wipe that folder. IF you don't miss something after a year and you didn't throw it in a particular folder anyways...
@davidbisset I'm gonna piggyback on this meme to give you the best pro-tip I've ever used: RAM drive.
Are you using all your RAM? Probably not, we have a lot these days. I've allocated 12 GB of my RAM to act as a mounted drive. All my downloads and temp files go to F:/. It's so fast (because its RAM), and when you reboot, all your temp stuff is gone.
