@CelloMomOnCars This was reported on a Monday and comments were due by Wednesday? Even if TXDOT technically posted the document with a comment period that met statutory requirements, they sure didn’t make a good faith effort to publicize it and get meaningful feedback.
@CelloMomOnCars Reduce the number of lanes. Put in a lane for bus rapid transit and an express lane to encourage multi passenger travel. Also, as more cars become hybrid or electric, idling is not an issue. Have a longer range perspective. Do we want all these people still driving cars on a regular basis in twenty years. Cordon off cities and towns to be car free or largely car free. Make it impossible to drive your car into the city.
