Based on a random conversation on here, a few of us will be watching this drama next week, together but asynchronous. How it works is, you pick a time convenient for you, watch the eps, and post your thoughts on Fedi~
Starts 29 September 2023 (ep 1 and ep 2)! We're mostly watching on the weekend so Fri/Sat/Sun, 2 eps a week. Feel free to join in!
@geraineon I started this because @liztai but gave up because the opening was more stress than I could cope with. I'll give it another go and hope that the oxytocin from having others to talk about it with helps offset the cortisol.

@geraineon This is good to know. I'm currently feeling over-saturated with young men at university dramas so, looking for something else, I started watching A Female Student at the Imperial College, ie Zhao Lusi at an otherwise male university 🤦♀️ She's trying to figure out what the ML is hiding re his relationship with her brother and how can there be any answer besides the obvious one?
That ship is obviously going to crash soon so I shall try yours 😂
@geraineon Thankfully no. She's there as a young woman and on her own merit. Some of the men pick on her but then she puts them all in their place with her archery and horse-riding skills. The ML is better than her though, so there's still sexism even if it was mostly to give them a close-contact moment.

Haha, I'd love to do a #watchparty with @liztai but I've promised myself not to take on new languages/cultures in dramas until I've already sorted out #kdrama to my satisfaction, especially while I'm studying #hangul. Also, too many episodes! I'm very happy with the 16-20 episode format, given how enraptured I can become with these alternate universes! Still, I'm interested to know how this goes!

@liztai Yep! Hachyderm is not blocked on my instance, so I'll see it (esp since we're mutuals). Just tag with #MLCWatchParty when you watch! Up to you if you wanna CW for spoilers. The plan is two eps every weekend (Fri-Sunday any timezone, but stretches until Thursday before the next two eps, and so on). Then, I'll boost your post when I see them, and you can feel free to interact with other ppl on the same tag to talk about the same episodes~ I try to interact when I can

Oh, there are many potential Asian dramas in my future. However, I've realized that ADHD is part of my profile so I should resist the lure of #ShinyNewThings and follow my curiosity through thoroughly before moving on to something new. It's working well in a few areas.
@EllenInEdmonton@geraineon@emmaaum Hey fellow ADHD person here :P For me that is a struggle too. I manage it by keeping a list on MDL. It gives me a dopamine rush to check one show off as complete, so it keeps me "in line" rather than scattered through many shows. Not sure if it'll help you, but it helped me immensely as I'm a person addicted to checking off tasks lol
@liztai Yeah, checking off tasks doesn't give me as much of a dopamine hit as starting something new does!! 🤣
Anyway, I'm getting a lot out of learning #hangul while also enjoying #kdrama. Gaining new skills is very rewarding for me. And, after 14 years of no TV at all, I'm getting a LOT out of Korean dramas. I'll try to avoid wavering as long as I can!
