@rahmstorf What I am not clear about is the 25% of the total year to date? 25% of what? 25% of total emissions from wildfires in the year to date, or 25% of total carbon emissions across the planet - but what would that measure be, given that most animals excrete / exhale CO2? Just asking - the article from @TheGuardian_uk is not very clear.
