At last a major Labour Party promise that most of us can get behind: Labour have committed to a full-scale (re)nationalisation of the UK rail system (with some allowance for small scale focussed private services on the nationalised system).
Lobbying by rail firms seems to have finally been unable to halt the realisation that for Labour this is a major & well-supported popular policy.
Now what would be good would them to apply the same logic to their economic/fiscal policy!
@ChrisMayLA6 what matters to a well functioning railway is how it is structured, much more than who owns that structure. UK rail desperately needs the reforms on that front that govt has been promising since 2019 but had so far failed to even begin to deliver. Labour needs to focus on that above all else
