Sometimes hide and seek just becomes a bit of a drag.

    @alexandra Yeah, I thought the eyes were too symmetrical for that, but apparently they start symmetrical before drifting slightly, so could well be the case.

    @eclectech Yay, you're back :)

    @lappenjammer 👋 Not quite back to normality but getting there. Whatever normality is 😃

    Been looking through the rest of the photos to try and work out what kind of fish this is, but none show more than an eye and bit of nose. Anyone know?! Probably found in British waters but apart from that, and the fact it likes hiding, I know nothing.

    @eclectech There have a been a few times I have gone to interact with one of your posts and it vanishes! (Then returns!). 🤣

    @greenpete Hah, I am so sorry. I am a horror for realising I missed something and using the delete & redraft option!

    Edit: I should probably use Edit more, but if I think I've been quick enough I avoid the trail of corrections showing 😆

    ForfarFairLady,

    @eclectech Are you sure it's a fish? It looks like a snake to me 🤷‍♀️

    @ForfarFairLady I am 99% sure it was underwater (was taken at the old sea-life centre near Oban).

    ForfarFairLady,

    @eclectech I don't know, then. Mind you, I wouldn't know what type of snake it is, either!

    @ForfarFairLady Hehe! I usually try to take a photo of any information signs by animals /plants / fish etc that I might want to identify in the future, but nothing in this instance.

    @eclectech some sort of flat fish, a plaice, perhaps?

    eclectech,
    @eclectech@things.uk avatar

    @mrsbeanbag Yeah, possibly. It's eye looks slightly more symmetrically placed than I associate with them, but it might be a quirk of the photo angle.

    mrsbeanbag,
    @mrsbeanbag@ieji.de avatar

    @eclectech could be a young one! apparently they are born with symmetric eyes and as they get older one eye migrates to the other side! weird!

    @mrsbeanbag Oh! I did not know that. That's fab.
