Don't you love it when a colleague takes a lot of photos at an event and then shares them with you using the Adobe Cloud thingie and this means you can't batch download them.
On an unrelated topic, does anybody know of a #Linux (preferably CLI) tool to batch download a publicly accessible Adobe assets gallery?
If you do not have to login to access the photos, use wget command.
If you have to login to get the files, then just use a browser, and navigate to where you can see the photos, and choose " options -> save page as" (location of menu will vary based on browser"
it will save all images to an /images folder you specify.
@frith01 the gallery is entirely in JavaScript, there's no simple way to retrieve the URLs of the individual photos in high-resolution format without opening each indivdually
found this possible solution via google, may or may not work :
You can use the Creative cloud app & sync to a local folder, OR
Open Bridge
Choose the Library for which you want to batch download all the images. (See image below)
Export the Library to your computer.
Duplicate the donwloaded file.
Rename the extension 'cclib' to 'zip'
Extract.
If on MacOS, get an app like The Unarchiver as MacOS Archive app won’t open the file when you rename the zip.
Now the files have been named differently, so you have to deal with that. But at least for now our files aren’t held completely at ransom.
@alto the gallery accessed from the web is a bunch of JS files so I assume the answer is yes, but if I have to reverse engineer that stuff I'll spend less time just downloading the pictures myself one by one 8-P
