Dear #Linux Community,

I'm looking for a kids friendly linux OS for my 6 & 4 yo children. After checking several pages it seems to me, that 10 yes ago there had been much more offers than now. Most of the old projects are inactive.

I want to start with netbooks for them. At the moment I run the Raspberry Pi Desktop on one of them and it is okay. But it is not optimised for children by default...

So, suggestions are warmly welcome :blobcatbook:

@jayky take a look at #Spacefun by @Lioh : http://www.spacefun.ch/

"SpaceFun is our Flagship edition which offers a complete desktop experience, based on LXDE. Alternatively a rolling GNOME version is available for 64 Bit systems.
#IceFun is a version of SpaceFun specially designed for our youngest astronauts. It is well suited for children from 4 to 14 years."

jayky,

@caos @Lioh Cool, thanks a lot! I'll check this out :blobcatfingerguns:
