helplessduck, Tomatoes are tied up to their fence. I think I’m ditching the fence as trellis for string trellis at the end of this season. I can reuse the fencing and posts I’ll save for something else. I shouldn’t have to do much more pruning going forward. It’s time to harvest Kale. It’s almost time to sow round two of the cucumbers.
Two rows of tomato plants astride a four foot tall wire fence. The plants are about two feet in height. Bottom right corner has part of a row covered with landscape fabric. In the background more fencing can be seen as well as a pile of old pallets, and the woods.
A dozen tomato plants on either side of a wire fence with white cotton strips of fabric tying them off for support. In the background is a row covered with landscape fabric and two large kale plants. Beyond that is a row of onions and a row of wildflowers and lavender, then a lawn.
