My excitement for Crow Country has both increased and decreased after reading James Stephanie Sterling's review on the game! It's a shame that the traps feel like a slap to the face cheap, especially when combat with Guests is balanced well.

DesRoin,

@DesRoin Most demos wouldn't overwhelm the player with many mechanics, as it's suppose to be playable. Traps are a later on mechanic which are random and can cause so much damage; James mentions that there are traps that are hard to expect or even look for.

Traps cause too much damage vs Guests, making them a poorly implemented feature. Still the game embraces more of the good vs bad from classic horror games. They rated the game highly despite traps being a pain point.
