@antoniav not much! Haha - but I bought a few little indies on Switch the other day I need to try.. and House of the Dead on there super cheap! Which I'm psyched to try on it. Used to love the arcade one. How about you?
What type of game is House of the Dead?
I've been playing Ratchet&Clank Rift Apart with my friend, and Starfield on my own. Although I haven't been playing as much as I usually do lately.
@antoniav House of the Dead is an old arcade shooter - those games where zombies jump right at you and you just jump in with a gun-- I tried to get more into Resident Evil games but they're so weird, so much hunting around for stuff, basically like point and click or adventure stuff- but I just wanna jump in and shoot! Hahaha. I've heard good things about Ratchet & Clank, had a friend who was really into those. Yeah, I was playing a little Diablo IV recently too. But that's just normal, some kind of Diablo haha
Me and my friend have played all the R&Clank games together. We love R&C in general, only one of their games we didn't like much. They once tried to make a multiplayer game, and it wasn't our thing to put it mildly. Didn't feel like a R&C game at all. But we always get a perfect game in all the others. Have you played any of them?
My favorites were probably the ones made for PS3, but other than the multiplayer one, I love them all. Suppose some of the funny stuff won't be as funny if you haven't played the earlier ones though, but maybe that's not important. The first one is probably really old now, and probably feels really old to play, but think from the second game on, they're still okay to play. They made a new version of the very first game for PS4 I think.
@antoniav oh nice - there's a PS2 one right? May grab that or maybe on my Series X as I have no PlayStation newer than 2 (yet 🤣) - mostly Nintendo stuff otherwise.
@antoniav ha! Wow they really went nuts on PS2. I'd love to get a Steam deck eventually, I have a bunch of games on there and now that they stopped support for Windows 7 I no longer have a computer that'll run them 🙄🤣
@jake4480 Oh, I see. I only play on Steam, not sure how long my pc will be good enough, don't know anything computers really, I only know I have a GTX 1080, my brother's old PC, and that that wasn't good enough for my brother, but seems to be good enough for me, have had no trouble with any games so far. My friend has all the Playstations though, so we have played the other R&C games at her place.
@antoniav ha! Well if you're still playing on Steam you must have Windows 10 or 11, 7 and 8 it doesn't work on anymore. Which is understandable, I guess.
I've been playing Ratchet&Clank Rift Apart with my friend, and Starfield on my own. Got the Phantom Liberty on the Winter Sale, so will probably play Cyberpunk again next. Although I kind of want to give The Witcher 3 another try too. I was so new to gaming when I first tried it, so suspect it would be more fun now, and easier now that I know more basic stuff. Also waiting for The Universim to come out of Early Access.
Oh, didn't know they were making a new The Witcher game. Just saw a few days ago that they are making a new Cyberpunk game. Lots of games to look forward too these days. Almost all the games on my wishlist are 'coming soon'.
@jynersolives@antoniav Probably not your sort of thing, but I'll mention it just in case since you do at least like scifi. I'm personally getting back into Space Engineers and Empyrion. Though Space Engineers is a lot less actiony than those games you mentioned. I'm kind of excited for a big expansion that looks to be coming out for Empyrion on February 6 -- especially since the partnership with a real company hopefully means the game starts getting the polish it so rightly deserves.
