Playing with the toy instant #camera with thermal printing. Discovered settings for density of image just for a few of the last ones. Gives a bit more contrast.
@ottaross Fun toy! Now I want one too. What’s it called?
Thermal images used to fade pretty quickly. Not sure how modern ones last. I think I would try to scan mine right away if the scanning wasn’t destructive.
@skry …you're probably right about fading away to nothing eventually, but the camera has an SD Card as well, so the images are saved and printable on regular printers (in colour) as well.
@ottaross My granddaughter (8) loves her instant camera. Taking and looking at pictures is a big thing in our family, and she very happy now to be able participate on her own terms.
@rasterweb surprisingly it claims 48MP, but I'm skeptical. Perhaps it's doing some interpolation or something. I haven't looked at the digital pics on my desktop yet to see actual pixel count.
@darwinwoodka decisions decisions. The Dinosaur was $5 more when I ordered the pink kitty, or I would've preferred it. Of course after buying we saw it a few dollars cheaper.
Special acknowledgement to @rasterweb who has been sharing some of his results, which was pivotal in pushing me over the edge. Check out his pics.
Then also a friend told me last week that she has a few rolls of thermal paper left among the junk from her father's estate, and I figured that was a sign that I needed to move on this! Yay me.
