Microsoft signed a deal to remove to permanently remove 3.3M metric tons of carbon dioxide with Swedish energy co Stockholm Exergi.
Delivery of the carbon removal certificates to Microsoft are planned to begin in 2028 & will continue for a decade. The Swedish co, which provides power to the ppl of Stockholm, plans to build a carbon capture & storage project that will permanently remove 800K metric tons of C02/yr.
