(This being Berlin, OF COURSE THERE’S A CIRCUS RINGMASTER.)

• One, it can’t be a lion.
• Two, if it is, it can’t be from a circus as there aren’t any.
• Three, if it is and there are, it wouldn’t have escaped.”

Circus Ringmaster eats his hat, lion eats wild boar, marksmen fan out across South Berlin.

Berliners walk past on the way to the kiosk.

They pass a circus ringmaster sitting on the kerb, guarded by police snipers.

“Halt! A lion has escaped but we don’t know where from or if it exists!”

They shrug.

“Typical.”

And so Berlin’s quantum state is undefeated.

After fevered speculation that the reason no owner had reported the lioness missing was

1. Its owners are rich Caligula types keeping it illegally in their villa for dissolute & perhaps death-orgy related reasons

2. It had eaten its owner already

3. The lion was actually living wild in surrounding woods

We now discover that:
