Anybody here into archery? I’m thinking of taking it up and wouldn’t mind some pointers for a beginner. No hunting, only targets for fun & exercise. Considering a recurve with 30-40 lbs draw. Anything beyond that, I’m clueless. Planning a trip to a semi-local archery shop that has a good reputation. Advice? #archery
UPDATE: Went and bought a setup. Talked to an archery guy. I really like it, but do wish I’d gone a bit lower poundage on draw. The good news is I’ve already located lighter (20 lbs) limbs, so I’ll practice for a bit with heavier draw, then try with the lighter draw to really refine my form. #archery
@mentallyalex Nah, just target shooting for my own entertainment. It’s something I can do in the back yard that requires little setup and tear-down, and it’s relatively low-cost over time.
