I reflexively cringed when I saw this ad. Not only is it wasteful, the message sent across appears to be that Apple literally crushes all the things you like to make the new iPad.
@RickiTarr@drahardja Imagine if they’d run that in reverse, sort of - An iPad appears from inside a hydralic press (hence the thinness), and all kinds of wonderful things erupt from it.
@drahardja I can definitely see what they were going for, maybe trying to imply that you can replace all kinds of stuff with a 'simple thin device,' but that's literally the WORST way they could have made me feel when trying to convey that message 💀
Don't destroy all kinds of stuff just to make me want to buy your tablet, show me what it can do and convince me as to why I the iPad can do the same things, and why I shouldn't need to consume those other products in the first place.
Besides, it makes no difference if it were. The sadism of watching poseable figures, squishy emoji faces, and cartoon characters on TV getting slowly crushed to death is appalling either way.
