I guess the takeup spool is not to blame. I have a pro-tip for that. I also had trouble with film transportation. When you try to cock the shutter and feel that your film is stacking, you may have to loosen up the film a bit. All you need to do is gently turn the wheel in the opposite direction to insert the film into the cassette.
