The attack that killed a 1/5 of her village and changed her life forever was the result of an Iskander-M missile, a weapon which requires a CNC machine in order to be made. They are made by the Kolomna, Russia-based Machine Building Design Bureau, which uses Western #cncmachines
A CNC machine, or computer numerical control machine, is a cutting device that can precisely shape highly technical products on a mass scale. Much of Russia's defense industry has been sanctioned, but companies that produce the Kinzhal and Iskander-M have escaped sanctions.
Manufacturers of the deadly Iskander-M missile receive American chips from China and other missile components come from Europe. For example, equipment to test the product is imported from Polish company Intertrans Sp through the Moscow-based company Ostek-Test.
