@MetalheadDana@derthomas The books mentioned something like really important things are worth saying in Entish. Also, in the Entmoot, there may well have been non-Ent sentient trees that don’t speak the common tongue.
I'm gonna go full nerd for a second. The Ents were awoken by the Elves so their first language was Quenya/Elvish. But they developed their own language that Huorns (semi-sentient trees) could understand
Though I don't think it's explicitly stated that Huorns were at the fangorn entmoot. I assume some were there since they followed Treebeard to attack Orthanc, and the Huorns also attack the orcs along with Gandalf at the battle of Hornburg/Helms deep to save Rohan.
@lpl@derthomas Ya i think it states 50 ents spearheading the attack followed by an entire army of Huorns. or something like that. it's been a while since my obsessive Tolkien nerddom phase
