One of the reasons the Rays draw poorly is that it sucks to drive to their stadium. Fans there marvel at cities like Chicago and Philadelphia…where mass transit can and does deliver fans to the ballpark without driving & parking.
Transit makes the fan experience better. If you’re a sports fan, you should be a transit fan.
@ouij My sister lives in a suburb of Minneapolis. There is a bike trail that runs through her backyard that leads directly to downtown Minneapolis. It literally runs under the bleachers at Target Field! She and her husband were at the game yesterday. 😄
@ouij We went to Seattle for a concert in June and the Mariners happened to be home that weekend. We took light rail to the game on Friday and to the concert on Saturday (and touristy stuff on both days). It was awesome.
