NYTimes #legal reporter Alan Feuer discovered the 2 notices filed by #JackSmith on Wed, saying the new postings may indicate a coming appeal re #AileenCannon’s decision to release the witness list to the public
"2 new JackSmith prosecutors have filed notices in the #ClassifiedDocuments case. James Pearce's name may show up Thurs on the govt's opposition to Trump's motions to dismiss. But Cecil VanDevender has been handling appellate issues for Smith. Could an appeal be coming?" Feuer wrote on X.
#Legal analyst Allison Gill agreed, "Might be in preparation for her [#AileenCannon] ruling on unsealing the #witness list & #testimony. #JackSmith said he would appeal to the #11thCircuit if she didn’t overturn her own unsealing order."
