@maciekglowka Golden Axe is SO incredible. I do love its evolution - even 3 is so good. What a game. I should've known from your great roguelike you're a Golden Axe fan 😉🤣
@jake4480 haven't played it in ages though. Didn't know it had sequels...(shame on me). But back in the day you just played games that somebody in your circle happened to have (at least where I leave)
@maciekglowka ha! Exactly. And I've mostly discovered the sequels semi-recently after getting some ways to emulate Genesis games - I had NO consoles as a kid and yeah, played mostly at friends houses. Until the family computers.
i played SimAnt way back when; i love the premise of "take over the human home," it's so conceptually rich and ripe for storytelling. also, Wolf3D was one of the first games i ever played on my dad's PC when I could barely put on my own pants, it was a freeware floppy version iirc, he also had Halloween Harry and this very surreal point-and-click called Dare to Dream.
@buru5 YESS another SimAnt and Wolf 3D fan!! Man, those games. Still beyond obsessed. Those 2 and Centipede were absolutely the top inspirations for writing this. 😀
@wendigo ha! Thank you. And absolutely. I don't emulate the arcade ones much (unless it's via my PS2 and its FreeMcboot) but Wizodd, Wolf 3D, Colt Canyon, Demons Tier, there's a pretty good chance I'm playing one of those if I'm on a recent console 🤣 and roguelikes on PC for sure.
