If I can give some major advice to anyone considering working in IT or Cybersecurity, especially if you get hands on with Networking, Server, and IT deployments.

Take some time to study to be an electrician as well at a local community college.

I can not tell you how many times networking issues or weird issues came down to electrical systems and especially grounding.

I've literally walked into situations where a dozen techs are stumped and it was electrical #IT #Cybersecurity #Infosec

Honestly basic electrical knowledge and at least a basic working knowledge of the electrical codes for your region should be required knowledge in my opinion if planning to get hands on in IT. There's a reason my plain old Coax cable internet has near perfect signal even my ISP took notes on my install. I had added three grounding rods to the old house, two paths into the house, one to the panel, one to the network rack in my basement for an isolated grounding bus bar.
