No states mandate annual active shooter training for officers, according to an analysis by ProPublica, The Texas Tribune and FRONTLINE.

In comparison, at least 37 states require such training in schools, typically on a yearly basis.

Train the victim, not the rescuer, when it comes to active shooter training for schools, but not local law enforcement? Uh, huh. How would that work for beach lifeguards? Fire fighters? Asking for a friend.
