Hypnogoria - The Great Library of Dreams - Folklore Files - Jim Moon

Welcome to the Folklore Files of the Great Library of Dreams, where you will find articles and essays on superstitions, ancient lore, and strange legends.

Since 2010, Mr Jim Moon has been producing a weekly show, Hypnogoria on all things weird and wonderful, and quite by accident has become Britain's longest running horror podcast.

Over the years, we've explored the careers of horror legends such as Peter Cushing, Vincent Price and Sir Christopher Lee, talked of authors such as Ray Bradbury, Terry Pratchett, Kim Newman and Robert Aickman, uncovered the history of Batman, charted a family tree of zombie movies, traced the evolution of the Gillman, and unravelled the mysteries of the Mummy. We've also regularly ventured into the world of folklore, looking at the legends behind some of our favourite monsters, investigated witchcraft murders, classic hauntings, faerie lore, and curiosities such as will-o-the-wisps and Gef the talking mongoose. Plus we regularly gather round the fireside to hear classic weird tales from old masters such as MR James, EF Benson, HP Lovecraft, and William Hope Hodgson.

Tonight, as the moon rose, while looking for our missing @Sasquatch (who has yet to show up for his cage match in the Valley of Fire), I stumbled across a hidden passage in Borges' infinite bookstacks to the Hypnogoria sound stage, and found a side passage leading to the Great Library of Dreams, which utterly entranced me with this excellent article on Wyvern of Wonderland.
