I’ve been trying out Blue Sky a bit this past week and it seems okay for the most part, but also insular and small. It’s definitely easier to use than the Don, though, which didn’t really make best use of its time in the spotlight tbh but my gut feel is that the Don will probably do better over time and even outlast it.

I don’t think anyone has fully understood yet the degree of damage Musk did to Twitter and social media in general—not through the obvious amplification of Nazis and bigots, while suppressing anyone else who didn’t pay him a tithe, but simply by buying the whole thing and showing everyone how easily their online presence can be usurped or destroyed at the whim of a billionaire.
