@lain@sun@newt No, it just supports the skins. And tough luck getting it going, last update 2007. But Audacious is down the line of forks of XMMS and actually maintained. Also QMMP supports the skins too which is what i usually use. The latter also explicitly states it's imitating winamp. I'm not sure which is most similar though.
It's kinda funny that even in the year of our lord 2024 someone releases new devices running Android 8, a seven year old OS now. What isn't funny, doing so actually makes sense.

My guess is, it's because LDAC was added only in Android 8. So, they took the version that is recent enough to support some sound goodies while also being capable of running streaming apps.
