Some oddity 🤔

301 redirects can make the request change from POST to GET, depending on the client. 308 make sure a redirected POST stays a POST.

And, to be complete, you can replace POST in the previous paragraph by any non-GET operation (PUT, etc)

    Hey, I got the same issue when I try to login using a brand new account. Using username or email yields the same "spinner of death" :(
    I also never got a confirmation email, but I don't remember the UI telling me there was any error with my account.
    I also tried using another browser without crap-blocker, and even without any vpn connection.
    Is this temporary overload or is there something I can do to fix this ?

    From Mastodon, I subscribed to my friend's @wop''s new Lemmy community (https://infosec.pub/c/ittavern).
    The way Lemmy generates the fediverse's version of the posts is not good.
    The first screenshot is what I see: the title of the post and a link to the lemmy page. What I should see is... the post, as in the mockup from the 2nd screenshot.
    Like Mastodon shows actual posts from other instances, not just links.
    Just my 2 cents, I love Lemmy and long live the fediverse. What do you think?

    acceptable price range is up to 200 euro, maybe 250, but preferably lower so long as it noise cancels reasonably well without fucking up the sound too much

    @fristi hi! I bought the Sony WH1000XM3 about 4 years ago and never regretted it. I needed to block out traffic noise and noisy neighbours.
    They're comfy and the noise cancelling is just great - even unnerving the first time you put them on, that's how good it is.
    They've been replaced by the WH1000XM4 and the WH1000XM5 since. You can find the WH1000XM4 for ~260. That's stretching the budget a bit, but the results are just great. You might find the WH1000XM3 somewhere for cheaper still?

    @jeder @cheri answers are YES and YES! The current version of owncast needs you to place the gifs manually in the right folder on the server. The next version will have an UI for adding emojis. I’m mobile right now, but if you need help finding the right folder I can help later 🚀🌞
