I love finding these details on my photo walks. I may crop in a bit to get rid of the blown out sky but for now, here’s the first edit. Really enjoying the new features Lightroom Classic has in its latest releases that let me edit specific colors. Before I’d be using the color mixer and couldn’t be as precise as I’d like to be. Now I can be, if I choose to. I probably won’t on all my photos but I do want to get a feeling for these new tools and see where they fit in my workflow.

Whatcom falls was flowing today. Hadn’t been in a few months but glad I came here with a new friend. I met Mark at a cafe I frequent and he asked to come along on one of my photo adventures. We ended up spending 4+ hours taking photos and talking photography. He’s more of a videographer and was wanting to learn some photography from me. Happy to share!

I do love how ICM has given me another 'tool in my box' to play around with whenever I go out. I came here for the sunset with my sister and while it was a pretty sunset... it wasn't quite what I wanted for long exposures or 'normal' photos. I got a couple that I live of both of those but I decided to take some ICM photos as well. I do need to remember to bring my ND filter (puts filter in camera bag and comes back) with me. I have my LEE filters system but its a 10stop filter, which is way too dark for this. Luckily I kept my 'old & cheap' ND filters I had bought at the famous (in Beijing) Wukesong camera market. Man I miss that place...

Early bike ride to Lake Padden this morning for sunrise. Wasn't quite feeling the long exposure would do much. So I decided to snap some ICM photos in between taking photos of the fog. I mostly came to the lake to check the autumn colors and some peace. Happy to get one of those! Looking forward to finding the other soon!

For June, I am using 'Offerings' from my Tibet gallery. I took this image towards the end of my first trip in Tibet. I do not recall the village we were staying it because it had been a long day of driving on the way back to Chengdu and this monastery was nearby. I also took my #blackandwhite photo 'In the Shadows' at this temple. I recall smelling the incense once we had walked up the steps to this open area. Turning to my left, I saw the incense smoke slowly rising. I have always loved how the smoke looked, so I slowly approached and looked for the shot. I decided on this one because I loved the pattern of the building behind the smoke as a kind of canvas to let the smoke paint across.

Took this shot in the early morning while scouting for my Perseids meteor shower photo shoot. My tripod decided to break this morning, so I ended up balancing this shot on some rocks.

'The Shot' from #perseidmeteorshower this past weekend. Now to edit the rest of the meteors I saw. I ended up seeing 37 but only capturing 9. Not a bad ration and considering this one made me audibly gasp when I saw it, I just enjoyed the show.
