Trying the Otter AI transcription of an uploaded MP3 audio file that was created by using Downie to download a YouTube Webinar video as an MP4 that I then converted to an audio only MP3 with Permute.
I'm hoping the transcribing is good. It'll take abut 12 minutes in total for the whole process to transcribe a 50-minute video.
Before it would take 50 minutes as the video played and Otter AI listened and transcribed in real time.
They also tried to sign me up to the SDLP and GBNews sites.
Bad news to whoever it is. I’ve screening on my email. Nothing gets through until I approve the sending address. And when I click no, I never see any email from that address again.
Okay. It’s starting to look like whoever is messing with my email address is someone who knows me. They just tried to sign me up to the Ulster Unionist Party.

@Schnuckster No. I changed the TicketMaster one yesterday. Just tried it and it still works. The email one is because I have it as my TicketMaster login. Ignoring emails with the password reset link for it.
@Schnuckster No. Your login password for TicketMaster will be stored by TM. Ideally it’ll be stored in what is called a hashed form. Which means it’s encrypted. I don’t know if TicketMaster did that. Hence given the breach it’s best to assume the password is compromised as well.
For nearly 20 years now, the web has been Google’s platform; we’ve all just lived on it…For a lot of small businesses and content creators, that’s suddenly not stable anymore. The number one question I have for anyone building things on someone else’s platform is: What are you going to do when that platform changes the rules?
