was at a datacentre for a personal project today with a friend. (spinning up a new rack for newer non-x86 equipment that needed 200V+) and i figured out how to configure a new switch with only an 8th of the manual having loaded

that and intuition got me vlan configs and username configs

unfortunately the part that DIDN'T load was how to set a default route

i can access it via IPs locally...but not over the vpn to it. oops
