#Sega is such an awesome company...

too bad I never owned a MegaDrive in the 90's. Was too much into the #Amiga , which I do not regret, as it created me the person I am (as a software engineer/engineering manager). Though, I would wonder what this would have been if I had a Sega instead... ;-)

Say what?!?!?!??? And such a person calls himself a "techlead" ? How misinformed of a douchebag this is...

at-techlead message from Twitter/X, that reads: "No one asked for women programmers. We asked for women influencers and instead got 'independent women' in pants suits. A woman should prioritize being a good mother and wife, not a coding machine"

That is the same person as: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkXnx1kk3hs

He also said: "So when I used to conduct interviews for Google, I rejected all women on-the-spot and trashed their resumes in front of them.
I told them, "Go have some kids.
Don't worry, I'm smarter than you"
"

What a douchebag!

hi @tailscale you updated your #Android client and i have issues with the xit nodes. first i thought it wasnt enabled, but green has been replaced with blue?!? but worse, it does not work at all. i havedowngraded to an earlier version as the exit node functionality in the client seems broken.

@tailscale

on the same device it works in the work profile and the secure folder... but outside no traffic will use the exit node. device has been restarted, downgraded (works), upgraded again and same

gbraad,
@gbraad@mastodon.social avatar

@tailscale had to reregister (reauth) the device before this started working. happened on several devices... perhaps something in the update failed/corrupted?

gbraad,
@gbraad@mastodon.social avatar

@tailscale had this happen on another Android device. The same solution helped: reauth.

Which application is better?

  • Insular (island)
  • Shelter

Also found this:

https://secure-system.gitlab.io/Insular/faq.html

Eventually settled on Shelter (for now). Although on Anbernic devices this does not work. It does create the Work profile, but fails doing anything after this. The same for Insular. The profile is usable, so removed Shelter/Insular afterward on these devices.

Android users, today's your day. 🎉

We've relaunched the Tailscale app, redesigned from the ground up for a better look-and-feel, faster performance, and even more features. Check it out 👇 https://tailscale.com/blog/android/?utm_source=Mastodon&utm_medium=owned-social&utm_campaign=devrel-social

@tailscale please, keep the green bar when connected to an exit node. it is not very clear now. blue seems connected or just a highlight? it is confusing that the button and the bar serve the same function to indicate, but breaks the mental model of the previous client.

also, the notification stopped displaying an exit node is used? it now only shows "Connected".

gbraad,
@gbraad@mastodon.social avatar

@tailscale

The following screenshot show in order: work profile with exit node enabled, the secure folder with exit node and the outside use that is connected to an exit node.

The workprofile just shows:Connected
Secure folder shows hidden: expected... But when opened it also shows just Connected
Outside profile it just shows Connected.

In short, it does not shows: "Exit node:..." as previously.

@tailscale

This is what was shown on previous devices.
