I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE which has a lange screen and battery (it works fine for me, only charging to 85%). I have a bulkier spigen case on it, and have dropped it several times yet, no damage.

I have been thinking about buying an S23 Ultra or a Galaxy fold, but I would just risk to destroy more money.

If I would buy an additional device it would be a used 10" tablet for mapping.

Also an interesting approach would be a #NexDock which I never tried, but might even work like a tablet but as screen and input device for my existing phone, which would make switching during mapping more easy.

At the moment I only do #StreetComplete on the go, and maybe #mapcomplete while sitting in a restaurant for example.

I am using Joplin on Syncthing with 3 devices I have edited one note on both devices before syncing, so the note got duplicated. (Joplin is syncing to a folder, then the folder gets synced). This takes a little longer to get synced if I boot and open Joplin directly (as Joplin’s first sync still syncs the outdated files). But mostly works fine.

I am also using Joplin on 2 devices and sync them over WebDav (on NextCloud). As I am editing 99% on one device only, I cannot tell you much about it.

If you are working offline some time I would try syncthing first. I have set my phone to auto usb tether so it would always sync when connected.

Let’s see where it goes. Many don’t want to contribute to #Mapillary since they were bought by facebook.

But as #maproulette directly contributes to #openstreetmap, I can’t see a problem here.

Battery does not drain, also I always shut down properly. Still I will double check next time.
