@djlink Mmmh, I'm not quite sure... I haven't seen the other movies from the director, but that's horror stuff so that's a plus! ๐Ÿ˜„
But I've kinda lost faith in Ridley Scott with all his last movies. I hope he won't meddle too much in that one and will just be a distant producer that just gives the name and the money, then maybe there's still hope...? ๐Ÿ˜… ๐Ÿคž

once in a while the "yellow paint" in games comes into discussion again and I don't get why always the same, it's about accessibility. I just wish there were wider discussions about the incredibly tinier text in modern games- now that's a big problem.

@djlink Thankfully that has become more or less the norm nowadays, at least having a black background that you can set (with various opacity, sometimes color) is more or less a given, and if not everybody should definitely get on board!

Bon, comment on fait si on est รฉcrivain et que :

  1. on aimerait bien pouvoir s'y consacrer correctement et donc ne pas cumuler avec un/des autres emploi(s) (genre prof)
  2. sans pondre 4 ou 5 livres par an qui couvrent le plus de tranches de marchรฉ possible (c'est bien connu, la surproduction c'est les autres)
  3. selon les propositions 1 et 2, pouvoir prendre le temps d'รฉcrire des choses "justes" et abouties
  4. sans courir la presta/ateliers/animations socio-culturelle (cf1) et autres "activitรฉs annexes"
  5. Sans se marchandiser en permanence, sans "entretenir une communautรฉ" ou proposer des "formations" en ligne, ou autres joyeusetรฉs.
  6. Tout en, genre, mangeant ร  sa faim.

C'est pour un copain.

been trying to convert my wordpress blog to static content and after a bunch of time I gave up on jekyll, the dependencies alone are a nightmare to get running, had issues in Linux and Mac, I think this will be a problem to maintain in the long run, even if I make a stable VM (...)

@djlink I've experimented with Jekyll recently, and managed to get something running (on PC), but yeah for someone who's not savvy with dependencies and ruby and all these things (was my case ๐Ÿ˜…), that's really not simple!

I'm thinking about trying one of the many flat files/no-database-PHP-only engines that exist instead, but Hugo already sounds much more maintainable!

New Indiana Jones game looks cool but I would much have preferred a third person adventure and not FPS. Infernal Machine was neat.

Neither the gameplay nor the writing are any interesting to me, both a full of repetitive padding that goes nowhere...

And the modern marvel style of writing "quippy line-quippy line-never-stopping-banter-quippy line-rinse-and-repeat", I can't stand it in the movies, I won't stand it in a game either ๐Ÿ˜†

I'm sure there's an audience for this, but that's not me! ๐Ÿ˜

  1. my nicest main set of diamond gear
  2. a replacement set of diamond gear when i inevitable lose the main set

I think the enshittification of streaming services will be the main cause for piracy going mainstream again. Netflix mostly fixed a service problem but the whole industry seems obsessed in reversing it now https://9to5mac.com/2023/12/27/amazon-prime-video-ads-2/
