I sent my Filipino online pseudo-girlfriend who had not been responding back to me for a while a heartfelt message after some silence, saying that I hope she's healthy and happy, asking whether she perhaps found an actual boyfriend, saying I'd love to talk to her again if she's still single...

And she responded by reacting with hearts to all my messages she had not responded to before, but still didn't actually write anything in response.

What does it mean? :sadcat:

She must be conflicted about something.

I wish we didn't have the language barrier but I feel like she would still be as uncommunicative and cryptic if we spoke the same language, because the issue is probably something else.

We're like teenagers smh.

As for what those reactions means is simply you are not worth talking with anymore.

Have you considered WHY Meta is having Fediverse admins sign an NDA?

How much do you want to bet it's because they're going to pay them to federate, and in the case of Eugen and Dansup to add features to the software that benefit them? Life-changing money for Eugen and Dansup is pocket change for Meta. The only way we can counter that is through solidarity.

Is soup a meal? If that's correct then it would imply that you can drink a meal, but consumption of a meal is often referred to as eating it.

So it would make more sense to eat a soup rather than drink it.

@Suiseiseki @rq I think buying developer time is a much better solution than buying artifacts generated by compilers and alike.

There are many successful examples of it but it's rare due to the availability of payment methods as you know about that case already.

I'm starting to think we need a new search engine. New indexes, semi-manually built from scratch, topical, semantically aware, anti-clickbait, all that. First class support for Fedi sites that allow it, wikis, and forums would be the main targets; although other things could be added too.

@xianc78 Nowhere in the activity pub standard it's defined as a microblogging protocol.

It's known for being so generic that it requires a lot of extentions to get a working implementation almost like it was their intent.
